Rescue Diver Course

Described by many divers as one of the most challenging, yet most rewarding PADI course they’ve ever taken!

The PADI Rescue diver course is for those who wish to expand their skills and be able to help if an in-water emergency should occur. The course is designed to broaden your awareness and give you the confidence to act on your newly acquired rescue diver skills.

Because you learn to prevent and manage problems in the water you become more skilled as a diver. This gives you the confidence in knowing that you can help others if needed.

On this course we cover the following criteria:

The psychology of rescue and self rescue – recognising diver stress and prevention – accident management – assisting responsive and unresponsive divers at the surface and underwater – equipment problems and solving – missing diver search & recovery techneques – in-water rescue breaths – emergency O2 delivery systems.

This course creates confidence and makes you become a better dive buddy by practising problem solving skills until they become second nature. This is a seriously fun course!

To enrol you must be a PADI Advanced diver (or equivalent from another dive organisation) and hold an Emergency First Response certification validated within the last 2 years.
